After welcoming her daughter, Wyatt Kutcher with fiancé Ashton, Mila Kunis has joined up with Italian jeweller Marina B. to design a "motherhood ring". More than happy to spread the love, Kunis is donating 100% of the proceeds to charity.
The design consists of an 18-karat yellow-gold band with an emerald stone. She chose emeralds as “they are traditionally symbols of motherhood, wisdom and long-lasting love”. All of the proceeds from the $4,800 ring will go towards the opening four maternity wards at the Gemfields Nkana Health Center in Zambia. Kunis has been an ambassador for Gemfields since earlier this year and strongly believes in their ethical mining approach. Gemfields are the world's leading supplier of responsibly sourced coloured gemstones.
In July the actress confirmed to W Magazine that she planned on being a full time mom for at least a year after the birth. “I have never wanted to be the person who only has business on her mind. To me, this job has always been a hobby that turned into a great profession, but I don’t eat and breathe acting,” she said. “I'm sure Meryl Streep has a very different point of view. But I’m excited about being a full-time mom."
