AccorHotels have opened their first Open House as part of their Jo & Joe brand, a new project aimed to appeal to younger hotel guests. The Open House was opened in the French surf destination of Hossegor and is designed as a crossover between hotel, hostel and private-rental formats. The Open House was developed in collaboration with Quiksilver and Roxy, two iconic surf brands.
“Creating an Open House in just three months is a crazy challenge. But one made possible by the team’s start-up mode approach and considerable agility combined with the support of our partners Quiksilver and Roxy,” said Cédric Gobilliard, Senior Vice President of the Lifestyle Division, AccorHotels. “This very ambitious project is blowing a wind of change through the hospitality market.”
Communal areas include the HAPPY HOUSE, a private area with lockers where they can relax, work, cook and do laundry, and the PLAYGROUND, featuring a bar and restaurant serving local dishes.
