New Zealand Fashion Week is reaching out a helping hand to designers, with their new Trade Space. Trade Space will be a custom area within the Viaduct Events Centre specifically for designers and brands to network - which can assist in opening up wholesale opportunities, and meeting international buyers. Trade Space is an innovation which has been developed based on designer feedback in previous years. NZFW traditionally is quite an inclusive affair, offering different entry options for designers at different stages of growth, and the Trade Space will add to this, allowing younger designers to make the most of the event. Instead of having to leave the NZFW site to attend media appointments, Trade Space will make everything a little easier for designers, especially those from overseas or outside of Auckland. A variety of international buyers travel to Auckland for NZFW, including buyers from The Iconic, Myer, David Jones, and Bau Haus. Trade Space will have flexible walling options, which designers will be able to use to customise their space.
Trade Space will be operating from 29th September to 1st October, designers showing at NZFW will be automatically admitted to Trade Space, but designers not showing will need to apply before 9th July.
