Glasson's longtime CEO, Di Humphries, stepped down at the end of September after heralding the fashion brand through some tough times with increased competition and rising import costs. Hallensteins Glassons Holdings have now announced their new CEO, with a surprising split in the role. Instead of one CEO overseeing the entire Glassons operations, there will now be two CEOs overseeing New Zealand and Australia separately. This points to an increased focus on Glassons' presence in the Australian market, an area in which Glassons has been expanding with increasing vigour. The New Zealand CEO will be April Pokaia, who previously worked for Glassons before taking on the brand manager role at Cotton On in 2016. James Glasson will be Pokaia's Australian counterpart, and both will be reporting to Mark Goddard - the group chief executive.
