ZARA’S UNPAID TURKISH GARMENT WORKERS TAG ITEMS FOR HELP

Zara shoppers in Istanbul were in for a surprise when they picked up garments with strange tags on. These tags were placed by Turkish outsource manufacturer workers complaining they have not been paid for the merchandise shoppers were holding in their hands. Found inside garments, the tags said: "I made this item you are going to buy, but I didn't get paid for it."

Other tags elaborated stating the workers were employed by the manufacturer Bravo, which closed down overnight, and said the manufacturer owes the workers three months of pay and severance allowance.
