ART DECO EARRINGS, BE MY GUEST

Hotels and jewellery have barely anything in common. However, this unlikely collaboration tells us otherwise.

Finding yourself immersed in architecture is often coupled with travelling. However, have you noticed the times you've appreciated the curvature of the roofs, the tall hallways or the luxe decor are always in a hotel lobby?

Auckland jewellery designer Naveya & Sloane has partnered up with premium accommodation property, Hotel Grand Windsor, to create a bespoke pair of earrings that celebrate Hotel’s Art Deco flair.

The ‘ostrich plume drop’ earring is made from 18-carat solid gold, diamonds and baroque pearls worth $13,000.

This gorgeous pair of earrings will be won by one lucky guest who stayed in the hotel within the first 10 days of March.

Naveya & Sloane is famous for bold and edgy collections that showcase intricate craftsmanship and detail. This collaboration will bring to life and celebrate Art Deco jewellery. The design was inspired by a famous ostrich plume brooch from the 30s.

“I wanted an old-world feel but through a minimalist, and contemporary lens with that regal feel that you experience at Hotel Grand Windsor,” said co-founder Rachel Sloane.

The General Manager of Hotel Grand Windsor says that the opportunity to work with such a passionate and creative design house on this special project was a treat.
