BROTHER is New Zealand's leading print and sewing brand, and they're now on the look out for NZ's brightest young creative talent with their 'Design Stars' competition! Kiwis between the age of 7 and 13 who have a passion for sewing, fashion, craft, art or design, can enter the competition until 22nd August and be in to win some incredible prizes, including return flights to Auckland, sewing machines, TV show appearances and gift cards!
This year the competition will be judged by some of New Zealand's leading industry innovators, including boutique fashion designer Celine Rita, award-winning wearable art guru Fifi Colston, Brother's own Marketing Manager Emma Crossett, Crème Magazine Fashion Editor Louise Logan, and renowned costume designer, Sarah Burren.
Colston will judge the 'Brother Design Stars Craft Award' category, that will see contestants design unique and eye-catching hot water bottle covers that incorporate the use of up-cycled materials. Whilst Rita will judge the 'Brother Design Stars Fashion Award' category, where contestants will submit ready-to-wear fashion items or outfits that express both individual style and creative flair.
Winners will be announced in early October.
