Australia's premium retailer, David Jones, opens it's first international store in Wellington on Thursday 28th July. David Jones Wellington is expanding its range of New Zealand brands, one of these brands being Wellinton-born label twenty-seven names. A number of Kiwi brands that are already stocked in Australian-based David Jones stores will also feature, such as Trelise Cooper and Sabatini. David Thomas, David Jones' Chief Operating Officer, commented on the new store that showcases the best of international and New Zealand brands.
We are confident we've collated a unique and exciting offering that will delight our New Zealand customers. Our brand mix for Wellington incorporates many of the popular brands Wellingtonians know and love, but with a fresh take on breadth of range and format instore, combined with a variety of international brands that are new to Wellington or New Zealand.
The new David Jones received over $20 million AUD in refurbishment and features over 500 brands across the three story store. It also offers a range of services including; personal shopping in styling suites with a complimentary glass of champagne, beauty services by appointment, a gift registry, a parent's room and complimentary Wi-Fi in-store. There is a premium café for customers to take a break while shopping, offering a breakfast and lunch menu.
