Deadly Ponies is set to release another full product category to complement its leather bags and luxury leather jackets. The Silk 18 range will be unveiled at New Zealand’s premier art fair. Deadly Ponies Silks 18 will feature a range of beautiful silk scarves that celebrate artists and iconic images that have permeated the brand’s many collections.

Initially introduced as a stand-alone accessory to a robust leather accessories range, scarves have played a supporting role in past seasons’ collections. However, increasing demand for scarves, coupled with Deadly Ponies’ burgeoning collection sizes have enabled the category to grow and manifest into a new stand-alone category.

Silks 18 features archival and iconic scarf prints offered in silk twill, silk crepe and an ultra-light silk chiffon. Previous iconic print designs such as the Gaga for Gala, Smokey and the Gambit, Resort 2017’s Wilde Print and autumn 2018’s Depths of Desire print have been reinvigorated in new vibrant colourways. The latest addition to the scarf family is winter 2018’s Mare of Diomedes print.

To celebrate Deadly Ponies’ long history of art-inspired collections, designs, campaigns and collaborations, the brand has partnered with the Auckland Art Fair for the very first time. The brand-new scarf collection coincides with the Fair’s opening day, and it is within the Fair’s elegant and energetic compound that the scarves will be unveiled.
