With Chinese New Year just around the corner, a host of opportunities have arisen within the fashion industry. Retailers have been decorating their establishments, and fashion houses and beauty brands have released limited-edition collections to commemorate the event.
Online retailer Dealmoon.com is jumping in on the high-profile trend with products being made available from a selection of luxury brands through their e-commerce site. 2019 is the Year of the Pig, and Dealmoon is celebrating with limited-editions encompassing this theme. Contributors to the event include Prada, Gucci and Monica Vinader.
The promotion comes as a response to the intense spending from Chinese consumers in the luxury goods sector. According to McKinsey & Co., 33 percent of world spending in this sector comes from the Chinese market, and that number is expected to rise to 44 percent by the year 2025.
