Britain’s second-largest department store group, Debenhams has announced Sergio Bucher as its new chief executive.
Bucher previously worked as an executive for Amazon where he worked predominantly in its fashion category. The retailer said it was attracted to Bucher because of his online and international experience.
The job comes with a base salary £700,000, but has the potential to triple with bonuses. Bucher is also set to receive £445,184 worth of compensation for stocks he would have received if he had remained with Amazon.
