The well-established fashion retailer Browns is on the market for sale. Located at the Eastridge Shopping Centre, Browns has been providing existing and new brands to customers for the last 27 years.
The brands have contributed to Browns longevity and success, as well as the exceptional customer service. Browns was opened to cater for women of all ages and sizes and focus on individual style rather than following trends.
The business was originally established on Remuera Road in 1992 by the Bilkey’s and three decades later, the Bilkey’s are selling the company to pursue new ventures. Bayleys Auckland, Carolyn Hanson is negotiating the sale.
The 114 square metre store sits at the entrance of the Eastridge Shopping Centre, with the lease running until 2025 at an annual rent of $86,025.
Ms Hanson said that while the business is about fashion, it also focuses on building confidence in women and providing excellent customer service which makes it a great selling opportunity.
“We have stepped back over the past six months as we prepare to retire from the business and it has been run efficiently and well by the existing staff,” said Mrs Bilkey. “We love what we have created, and it has been a real privilege to have a business like this. The gift it has given us as owners has been travel, time with family and a work/life balance few people achieve.”
