FROM HIGH STREET TO BRITOMART

Auckland's popular retailer Fabric has moved from High Street to Britomart. The new space features an alternative fit-out design by Katie Lockhart. Lockhart also designed all three Deadly Ponies stores. Fabric owner, Simon Miller is an expert in denim with his own denim label Simon Miller Jeans. Miller also has past experience working for LA-based Citizens of Humanity. Majority of Miller's buying is done in Paris and Japan, allowing his customers access to edgy high-end pieces that focus on more of a timeless street style rather than sticking with seasonal trends. A highlight of the new store is the heavily influenced Japanese simplicity seen in the new fit-out, in-particular the lantern light fittings made by Ozeki & Co Ltd. The new store opens today and can be found at 2C Commerce Street.
