H&M NEWMARKET OPENS DOORS

H&M, Hennes & Mauritz AB, opened the doors to it’s ninth New Zealand store in Westfield Newmarket, Auckland yesterday.

Queues started to build from 5.00am with shoppers keen to get the first look at the new store which showcases a fresh look and layout design. The 2,300 square-metre store, spanning two levels, houses fashion and accessories for Men, Women, Kids and Baby, as well as the Home concept – a popular destination department for shoppers since its Auckland launch at the Commercial Bay store last year.

The hype outside the store began at 8 am with DJ duo Sweet Mix Kids entertaining the crowds before an H&M team emerged from inside the store to perform their iconic opening dance. Minutes later, after a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the doors officially opened at 10 am.

“We’re overwhelmed by the response today; seeing hundreds of excited shoppers eager to enter our new store is a humbling feeling," said Daniel Lattemann, country sales manager for H&M New Zealand.

“The H&M experience is always evolving and we’re so excited to be able to present a fresh look and feel throughout this new store. With the addition of wooden interior features accented by lush green planting, as well as a lounging area for customers to relax and enjoy, we’ve created a warm and comfortable space which really adds to the shopping experience."

The H&M Newmarket store is located at the corner of Broadway and Mortimer Pass in Westfield Newmarket.
