This year at Paris Fashion week, LVMH’s Louis Vuitton showcased a brand-new collection that gives off out-of-this-world intergalactic vibes – fashion fit for a space odyssey. The line was futuristic and featured oversized sleeves, patterned dresses and crystal-strewn styles.
White neon tube lights on the specially designed catwalk in the Louvre museum courtyards saw the models beautifully snake around the runway, impressing stars seated in the front row – including Paul Bettany, Cate Blanchett and Alicia Vikander.
Louis Vuitton designer, Nicolas Guesquiere transformed mesh dresses into sci-fi fashion with angular shoulder with some featuring ruffles and big sleeves suiting of the space-age. More down-to-earth styles presented included suit jackets with chic zippers.
Accessory-wise, some models were fitted with stunning white bonnets while others showcased a variety of bags of different shapes – representative of the brand’s high-margin leather bags and accessories.
