INTRODUCING THE NEW TISSOT GENTLEMAN COLLECTION

As we approach Christmas and wedding season the daunting task of gift shopping draws close. Women can be fairly easy to buy presents for, men on the other hand .. a difficult task. Luckily, accessories are always an option and luxury watch brand Tissot has just launched a new men's collection. Designed for the elegant man of today, the Tissot Gentleman showcases workmanship and carefully-wrought details for both formal and informal occasions.

The 40mm-diameter model, made from steel, is sophisticated yet understated with its fine dials and automatic movement. Inspired by a 1960s model, the Gentleman draws inspiration for its dial from the original model yet has given one of its heritage pieces a modern twist. The dials on each of the watches in the collection boast four worthy features. The first feature, a ring of applique hour markers which have been buffed to a satin finish and are complemented by faceted dauphine hands with white luminescent material. Secondly, the watch offers a second hand to be read with precision and to the second. Finally, the watch wears "Powermatic 80 silicon" on its dial, indicating the presence of an 80-hour power reserve movement.

The famous Powermatic 80 has been incorporated into the Gentleman watch through a silicon balance-spring. The spring provides greater longevity, precise running and greater resistance to magnetic fields. Hence its name, the self-winding movement has a convenient power reserve of 80 hours and over three days of running time when it is not being worn.

The Gentleman watch comes with two straps. Wearers have the choice from a steel bracelet, consisting of three wide links or a selection of calfskins. Standing out from others in its category, the Tissot Gentleman watch is a multipurpose, wear-everywhere timepiece that any man would appreciate.
