Levi’s big development plans

2019 is set to be a big year for San Francisco based retailer Levi’s, who has announced an impressive commitment to expanding their empire. The brand has divulged that they will be opening 100 new stores in 2019 alone, a substantial endeavour for the company.

Most of these outlets have been announced to be in either Asia or Europe however there are also several openings across the US. This expansion comes after a reported steady rise in profits from the group. For the quarter ending February 24th, the company reported a seven percent increase in net revenue.

Chip Bergh, the company’s chief executive, shared further insights to the success behind the planned development. “We delivered our sixth consecutive quarter of double-digit constant-currency revenue growth,” revealed Bergh. “Growth was broad-based across all three regions and all channels, demonstrating that our strategies are working, and our investments are paying off.”

Currently, the brand has 824 standalone stores, 74 of which were opened last year.
