Margiela or Malevich??

Begüm Sekendiz Boré, a visual artist and writer based in Paris has shown how many artists like Yves Klein, Keith Haring and Louise Bourgeois have influenced and inspired recent runways through her research. In her research she cross-references between fashion with ideas from fine art and contemporary culture creating new dialogue. Begüm uses Kazmir Malevich’s drawings from the 1920s-30s juxtaposed with recent season Maison Margiela. She says this is the story of how "Maison Martin Margiela fled over to London to coexist with Malevich at his current exhibition at Tate Modern."
