MIROMODA DEADLINE EXTENDED – FINAL DAY

Good news for designers who missed entry to this year’s Miromoda Fashion Design Competition. Co-founder Ata Te Kanawa has extended the entry deadline and has put a call out for any designers who identify as Maori to enter any of the three categories; Established, Emerging and Avante Gard.

“With these cases, there seems to be a pattern where they initially get really excited, totally enthused, then overwhelmed with panic as the deadline draws closer. After immediately missing it, regret sets in, and they plead for an extension, as all good students do,” said Kanawa.

Today is the final day for designers to submit concept drawings or images electronically to ata@miromoda.com

This year marks the eighth time Miromoda has been held, with head judge Dame Pieter Stewart back to handpick the best fashion talent from the Miromoda entries. Alonside Stewart, designer Adrian Hailwood and Lucire publisher, Jack Yan, will join the panel of judges tasked with picking the winners.
