Flash Jewellery is named after designer Nina Gordon’s nickname, Flash Gordon. It is with this sense of the bold and the colourful that Nina evolves her designs. Nina’s ideal jewellery is heavy, think thick gold chains of a vintage Chanel necklace and you have unleashed Nina’s 80s child inspiration. From her hometown of Nelson Nina is reproducing her past collections to a better quality to make them a lasting collection. It is with the same mentality that Nina learnt her craft, becoming the regular at a local night course by attending the same course five times. Right now, Nina is producing her 3rd collection, to be shown in the foyer at NZ Fashion Week. No stranger to Fashion Week, Flash Jewellery donned the models of Surface Too Deep’s show last year.  Gold is a part of all Flash Jewellery and is ultimately what inspires each collection. Flash Jewellery was born in a Wellington back shed and combines the luxury and versatility of gold with the mechanics of metal. With a mechanic father and previous positions at a metal design firm, Nina’s Flash Jewellery never veers far from the wonder of gold.
