Rachel Mills' installation show at New Zealand Fashion Week was conceptual, showcasing stationary models in her new season garments. The lighting was soft and red, and the makeup direction complemented this hazy, night-time vibe. Lisa Matson was the Makeup Director for L'Oreal Paris, and created a look which was an homage to the 80's. Matson was inspired by the vibrant colours and accentuated facial features of the New Romantic aesthetic, and created a matte base with L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation which was blended in with Age Perfect Facial Oil. Over this was dusted L'Oreal True Match Blush in Nectarine and Rosewood shades, which gave models' a rosy glow. Swiped along the top of the cheekbones was L'Oreal True Match Illuminator Powder in Golden Glow which gave a sparkling bright shine. Matson's brow look fitted perfectly with the natural brow trend which was seen across most NZFW shows. The brows were made to look bushy and natural with L'Oreal Brow Artist Xpert and Brow Artist Plumper in Transparent. For the soft, vibrant eye look - Matson used L'Oreal Blush Sculpt in Nude Beige, True Match Blush in Rosewood, Colour Riche Quad Eyeshadow in Forever Bronze and Mega Volume Miss Baby Roll Mascara. To finish off the makeup, Matson applied Infallible Lip Paints in Matte 204 Red Actually as an undercoat stain with Lacquer Red Fiction 105 layered over top.
