One of the most highly anticipated shows of New Zealand Fashion Week was Wynn Hamlyn's collection which was a collaboration with The Flooring Foundation as well as Helen Kaminski. The hair looks were natural and wavy, created by Michael Beel for L'Oreal Paris. First Beel prepped models' hair by blowing it out with L'Oreal Tecni.Art Pli, which encouraged soft movement in the hair. Then Beel was parted the hair organically at the centre and got to work on the curling. Using a medium sized curling tong and Infinium Hairspray, Beel crafted a soft wavy look but keep the ends straight for a modern aesthetic. His precise tonging action was away from the face, in a backwards motion. The curls were then combed out with a wide toothed comb and spritzed with Tecni.Art Wild Stylers Crêpage de Chignon which gave the hair a more dishevelled, organic look.
