Established in 1979, Zambesi has a retail and workroom team of over 40 staff members. With flagship stores in Wellington, Auckland and Melbourne, Zambesi was invited by Mercedes-Benz to create two bespoke looks to celebrate the partnership which was the starting point for creating the men’s and women’s collections. Showcasing their AW18 collection, a highlight is the collaboration between the Zambesi, the show’s producer, music director, make-up and hair artists – all to create this one show. “The runway show is a huge highlight for us and validates our existence.” The brand has shown at New Zealand Fashion Week every year except in 2016 and is delighted to be the opening show this year as the Mercedes-Benz Presents designer.
