Pinterest to cater to Australian and New Zealand brands

Opening a brand new office in Sydney, Pinterest aims to create a better service for brands and users across the Pacific region. Already working with Myer, Woolworths and furniture retailer Domain, Pinterest is looking to grow its portfolio of businesses that use its advertising products and platform to further reach consumers. Carin Lee-Skelton is excited to work closely with businesses of all sizes in Australia and New Zealand to help reach their customers via Pinterest. For the last four years, the newly appointed country manager has managed sales organisations at the global company in the UK. Between Australia and New Zealand, users from the two countries save nearly four million ideas to Pinterest daily. This gives your business the chance to reach an audience that is already engaged in what you do.

"People go on Pinterest to try new things like outfit ideas, recipes, beauty looks, dream trips and even home remodels," explained Lee-Skelton. "As people come to Pinterest full of intent, businesses have a unique opportunity to inspire them to bring their ideas to life."

Global head of sales, Jon Kaplan, explained that the business has been working behind the scenes for the last year to scale its teams and meet advertiser demand. "With Carin’s proven industry knowledge and years of experience driving results for brands on Pinterest, we are looking forward to further developing the opportunities for businesses in Australia and New Zealand with a local team under her leadership," added Kaplan.
