World renown fashion reality television show Project Runway is back, bringing designer styles and expertise to the screens of industry enthusiasts around the world. The show took a two-year hiatus after 16 successful seasons, but it is finally ready to return. Some of the biggest names in fashion have appeared on the show including Zac Posen, Rachel Joy and Michael Kors, making it the most well-received fashion industry event on the small screen.
The show will be returning to television sans two of the series’ most recognisable faces. Hosts Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn have exited the show to peruse a separate series by Amazon, leading to a shift in leadership for the production. International model Karlie Kloss will be the shows new host, alongside previous winner and industry superstar Christian Siriano. Nina Garcier will also be returning to the show along with designer Brandon Maxwell and former Teen Vogue editor Elain Welteroth.
The show is expected to keep in touch with its roots but has pledged to offer a more supportive and constructive style of mentoring. There will be seventeen designers competing in the upcoming season, along with a host of guest judges including Cardi B, Danielle Brooks and designer Dapper Dan. The series will be returning to its original network, Bravo, airing from mid-March.
