From 10 years old, Shyana Stella-Rose Winton has had an interest in the fashion industry. She began her love of modelling with beauty pageants and strutting to the tune of Americas Next Top Model. Now, with the help of Aart Model Management, she has translated that raw love for the industry into a blooming career. “I never thought I would be able to live this career for real,” she confessed. Winton took a chance on herself when she first approached modelling as more than just an interest, and the leap paid off.
This was the model’s first year with iD Dunedin Fashion Week, and she came to the opportunity through a stroke of luck. “I was scrolling Facebook and an add popped up from Aart Model Management who were looking for models for iD Fashion week. I instantly applied and got a reply back,” she shared.
With iD Dunedin Fashion Week behind her, Winton is excited to continue her career in modelling by embracing the opportunities that come her way. “What I most enjoy about a career in modelling is the rewarding feeling I get. I love seeing peoples faces when their event has become a reality or when I have given my photographer the shot they were after,” expressed Winton.
For this young model, confidence is key, and she understands that the next steps in her career will involve an open mind, and trust in the industry. “My next step would be to take every opportunity that is given to me by Aart Model Management and see where it takes me.”
