Gone are the days when art was simply a picture in a frame hanging on the wall of a gallery.
Converse have decided they are the perfect blank canvas for taking artist collaborations to the street- on our feet!
Their latest collaboration combines Andy Warhol and Chuck Taylor for a new series of sneakers that features the classic style of both icons. The Converse Chuck Taylor is given a white or black, leather or canvas, base with Warhol’s imagery gracing the sides of the sneakers. The Converse logo has also been given a bit of a revamp with each shoe to further complement the style.
These are available right now at Converse for $80, which is more expensive than a day at the museum but way cheaper than a Warhol original.
