The Boutique Collective

The Boutique Collective was first conceived back in 2012 by friends Amber Vito and Danielle Prestidge. The idea came about after they were disappointed by what was on offer in New Zealand and found that they were shopping from overseas sites. The girls wanted a site that brought the best of emerging local designers and vintage designer sellers in one place.  Inspired by those that design and make their own jewellery, clothing and bags, the site will offer people a chance to discover independent local designers. The Boutique Collective exclusively offers designer fashion but allows those that are up and coming a space to showcase their designs.

The site will allow sellers to set up their own boutique, personalise their page and have their listings as part of the wider market place. There will also be an ‘inspiration station’, a blog that will feature interviews and updates on the designers and boutiques that take part. The blog will also feature the latest trends and serves as a fashion inspiration board. For the first couple of months the site will not take commission on any sales to give new comers a chance to establish themselves without cost.
