The meghan markle effect

The soon to be member-of-the-royal-family has become a fashion icon since she traded her actress career for the status of Prince Harry’s future wife. The retired actress has caused a run on several items she has worn while out in public.
Her engagement announcement’s outfit, in November 2017 originated pieces to sell out worldwide and websites to crash. While her Aquazurra heels and P.A.R.O.S.H. dress managed to stay on top of the demands of eager shoppers, her iconic white wrap coat by LINE sent the label’s website into a meltdown.
But this wasn’t the first time Meghan Markle’s style sold out online, in fact, the fan craze went onto the Denim jeans the bride-to-be wore during the Invictus Games in Toronto last September. The “Love Gun jeans” by label Mother Denim which retailed for $228, caused the brand to cumulate a waitlist of 400 customers wanting the same pair of jeans. The brand since replenished the style several times but is currently still out of stock.
