Direct from Burberry, Paul Price is taking over the reins at Topshop/Topman. The Burberry veteran was Chief Merchandising Officer for ten years, with womenswear, childrenswear and menswear falling under his umbrella. The previous CEO was Mary Homer, who had worked at Topshop/Topman for three decades. Burberry is also facing a slew of changes, with new Marco Gobetti coming on board as the new CEO. With fashion executives switching brands faster than ever, these changes point to transferability of skills between luxury and high street markets. Despite vast differences in products and consumers, Philip Green, the owner of the Arcadia Group which owns Topshop/Topman, is confident in Price. "I believe Paul will be a great catalyst in leading the next phase of Topshop and Topman’s global expansion" says Green.
