Vans teams up with NASA for new out of this world designs

Vans continue to vie with Nike for the No. 1 Footwear brand, and they are aiming out of this world.
The skate shoe brand is partnering with NASA for their latest limited-edition collection which launched online and in Foot Locker on November 2nd.

The collection includes two freshly decked out editions of their classic footwear styles. The first is an SK8-HI high top is adorned with patches for the Apollo 11 and Voyager 1 and 2 missions as well as NASA’s renown “meatball” insignia. The model has both a black-on-white and white-on-black versions.
The second model is a remix of their classic plimsoll, brandishing a U.S flag at the heel, a stylized NASA “worm” and John F. Kennedy Space Center logotypes. Vans went above and beyond with their design, adding pull out tabs on the tongue which read “Shuttle” on the right and “Mission” on the left shoe. This model comes in both an orange and white spacesuit inspired colour.

This collaboration comes out as a part of the footwear company’s 60th Anniversary special.
