Walmart abaondons Google Shop

Google Shop was launched by the tech giant in early 2018, but it seems that business is already on the decline as one of their major partners withdraws from the enterprise.

It was confirmed by Google via Twitter that Walmart will no longer be selling products through their service, despite being one of the first of only a handful of companies to initially jump aboard the endeavour.

The e-commerce site was developed as a way to make online shopping easier for customers through the use of a universal ‘shopping cart’. Visitors could purchase all pf their items at once, from any participating stores, rather than visiting each site individually.

Walmart’s exiting of the enterprise does not bode well for Google, as they were one of the biggest drawcards for consumers, behind Target and Home-Depot.
