WOOLON ONLINE

Creative Fashion Event, WoolOn, has responded to the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Like many industry events, WoolOn has to get creative this year to bring their best foot forward despite the pandemic. Following the advice from health communities, the government and local authorities, the WoolOn 2020 event will not be held at Highlands as scheduled in August. Instead, they will move online with events and activities for designers and the public.

"It is important we recognise the seriousness of the current situation with COVID-19, and as a committee, we believe to run them even in its traditional format this year wouldn't be socially responsible. So instead of cancelling, we are pivoting, and leaning into the technologies available to provide a range of online experiences for designers and the wider public," said Mrs Hinsen, WoolOn Creative and Fashion Society Inc. Deputy Chair.

Plans for the revamp of this event are underway, with designer entries scheduled to open in May.
