The third movie of the Avengers series delights its fans with an eventful crossover that features new costumes and weapons.
The costume designer, Judianna Makovsky who previously worked on Harry Potter and The Hunger Games had to create thousands of garments for the production of the Marvel crossover. She believed one of the hardest things was to be able to gather all the characters in the same movie and keeping it comprehensible.
Most characters kept the same costume as the one they wore in their previous movie. However, they all went through slight changes and improvement. While the attire of the Black Panther and Thor were characterised by their technological advancement and modern materials, Captain America’s iconic white star, bold colours and round shield disappeared to give way to a grime-stained costume featuring muted tones and minimal black arm guards.
Most costumes are the result of previous events and the reflection of their evolutions as characters.
