CARBON FOOTPRINT LABELS

An innovative and sustainable footwear brand has become the first apparel brand to label their items with its relative carbon footprint details.

Allbirds will now include numbers in those labels that show the amount of CO2 emitted to create a pair of shoes.

Allbirds introduced its Carbon Fund initiative last year which aims to support their 100 percent carbon neutrality. Allbirds has continued to invest in carbon emission reduction projects in all aspects of air, wind and energy, thus, being able to maintain carbon neutrality in their business processes.

This new Carbon Footprint Label will help consumers understand the degrees that Allbirds is taking to become a leading sustainable footwear brand, while also putting numbers against the Carbon Footprint measurement which oftentimes seem a bit abstract for the everyday shopper.
