Visa Checkout has introduced a new digital swipe method for online purchases. The new interactive button is targeted at mobile devices, making the payment process seamless and dynamic to increase mobile purchase turnover.
While the button is only available for merchants selling digital goods, or goods to be picked up in store, Visa will soon make the service available for businesses who ship goods.
"Visa Checkout's new interactive button is yet another way we are designing the future of online checkout and delivering on our promise to bring the simplicity of the swipe to any device," said Sam Shrauger, senior vice president of digital solutions, Visa.
Pilot tests in the US showed customers who used the interactive button were twice as likely to complete their purchase, compared to the regular Visa Checkout experience.
