Sydney design college auctions everything for $1

One of the 24 Raffles College campuses is closing its doors and is selling all items, unreserved, starting at $1 AUD in an online auction. The Sydney design institute will close due to logistics. Withdrawing its registration to be an Australian higher education provider, the institute informed the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) in November last year. Lloyds Auctions' chief operations officer Lee Hames said that all items at the college must be sold. "All items will and must go and they could sell for any price being an unreserved auction, with all items starting from $1 there could be some great bargains had in this sale," Hames added. The 80 students that were impacted by the closure of the college were ensured they could explore other options at another education provider with the help of Raffles and TEQSA.

Now selling all stock, many valuable items will be a bargain including; 50 Apple Mac computers, photography and filming equipment, over 30 commercial Brother sewing machines, commercial printing equipment, lighting and sound recording equipment, draftsmen tables, and office furniture.

The auction ends Wednesday 30th January at 10am.
