Returning for its fifth year, the Very Vintage Day Out has announced Alexandra Park will play host to the event on 9 April. The event is set to provide all day entertainment, shopping and activities for vintage lovers.
"Our event has grown so much over the past few years and we're so thrilled with the huge support the VVDO has and how many people travel from all over NZ to spend the weekend with us," said Talia Stephens, founder, The Very Vintage Day Out.
Entertainment includes performances by The Gramophone Band, Darktown Strutters and Sisters of Swing, with the highlight of the night being the Miss Pinup New Zealand competition.
The competition pits 10 ladies against each other and judges them based on their poise, knowledge and vintage styling. Joining the panel of judges this year is internet sensation Miss Victory Violet, an internationally recognised pinup model who has taken the crown at Miss Viva Las Vegas 2015, and Miss Pinup New Zealand 2014.
While the main event happens on the Saturday, festivities continue through to Sunday with the Very Vintage Weekend Tiki party held at The Backyard in Northcote.
