An exciting new collaboration has arrived in honour of Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday. Disney has teamed up with Karen Walker to create a whimsical new collection.
The range features eyewear, t-shirts, fine jewellery and a variety of other memorabilia. The collaboration comes as a massive success for New Zealand, as Karen Walker is the first Australasian designer to be offered a collaboration with Disney. Other collaborators with the iconic brand include Gucci and Marc Jacobs.
A key item from the collection is a re-design of Walkers signature Runaway Girl bindle design, as the original classic design turns seventeen this year. The design has remained one of the brands most popular pieces of fine jewellery, and this will be its first re-invention.
The Disney and Karen Walker collaborative collection will be released worldwide on the 7th of November.
