PUMA started 2024 by launching two new running shoes, the Velocity Nitro 3 and the Fast-R 2 Nitro. Both pairs of shoes have been created with the idea of designing performance and sport-inspired lifestyle shoes for all varieties of runners.
The Velocity Nitro 3 is the third release in the Velocity franchise, offering a specially engineered running shoe that includes two millimetres of PUMA’s innovative NITROFOAM. This ensures that wearers have cushion and versatility to conquer all types of distance. The outsole also ensures maximum multi-surface traction, providing the confidence to move forward. PUMA has designed the show in various colours, from standard black to Pyschedielc Rush.
The Fast-R 2 Nitro utilises the enhanced benefits of PUMA’s NITRO technology, giving wearers a maximum competitive stack height with unbeatable speed and cushioning. The design is described as the perfect shoe for short runs, marathons, and every distance in between. This shoe was released in one colour: Psychedelic Rush.
Some benefits of the Fast-R 2 Nitro is 22 percent more energy storage and up to 46 percent more raw energy when compared to its predecessor. When tested, this resulted in a lighter, more economical run, saving two minutes and twenty-eight seconds for a 3:30:00 marathoner. Critical features for this shoe are a 20 percent lighter upper and multi-face service traction, claiming customers will run faster than ever.
“We received significant feedback from consumers and athletes on the original Fast-R, helping us streamline our focus for Fast-R 2,” stated Roman Girard, head of innovation at PUMA.
