'California Dreamin' is Catalyst SS14 collection inspired by the easy-going beach vibe of Los Angeles. Pretty tops, easy pants, cute fitted jackets, sweet sleeve cover ups and ‘50s sundresses give a relaxed aesthetic to an LA look.
The bold statement Catalyst print is still present this season, but sees a more muted colour palette coming through. Meanwhile, the Californication print evokes the spirit of Sunset Strip – a laid back floral grunged up with a touch of animal print. This is crafted into a stand-out ruffle blouse, sundress and skirt and with the California Military Jacket it provides the ideal juxtaposition of hard versus soft.
The stand out Rosey Posey print is reminiscent of Santa Monica pier – a bold floral offset against a stripe trim – and is fashioned into flirty sundresses, skirts and swing tops. The Pearl Cardigan and Tee are inspired by the manicured gardens and mid-century architecture of Beverly Hills while the Daisy Print has a lurex-inlaid floral fabric in a dress and tee. Finished with a hint of gold sequin this print is great for a night out.
