Katie Yeung will showcase her latest Hera Bridal Couture Collection at Fashion Week in the NZ Wedding Show. Although Katie is on maternity leave she is not fazed in fitting in Fashion Week among custom bridal gown orders. What Katie loves most about her brand is watching it grow and making something beautiful for her brides. A wedding dress after all, is one of the most significant dresses that a bride will ever. She loves being part of such a momentous occasion in her brides’ lives; it is just so special and beautiful.
She has an amazing team behind her in her Karangahape Road store and in her hometown Hong Kong where she has a small group of artisans and couturiers at her atelier.
Katie is a master at designing for real woman and can make a stunning made to measure dress from size uk2 to size uk32. She started when she was young, watching her mum work in her small apparel business and learning about dress construction, pattern making, beading, sewing and draping.
Katie sold her first dress at the age of 13. Hera Bridal Boutique is five years old and is going from strength to strength. Recently, Hera Bridal has explored translucency as a theme in its collection, all to be seen in the collection at NZ Fashion Week. By layering French Chantilly and Guipure lace, Hera is creating stunning yet demure wedding gowns that are timeless and elegant. Katie’s dresses are nostalgic in an airy and romantic way.
