Luxury merino brand PERRIAM’s Woman Winter 16 was unveiled on the NZFW catwalk as part of the Choose Wool show. Titled “Untamed”, the collection features elegant, effortless wardrobe essentials with a contemporary, sport-luxe vibe. Inspired by the rugged beauty and natural environment of Central Otago, the line showcases New Zealand merino wool with touches of rabbit fur and merino leather. Cable knitwear is teamed with flattering silhouettes for a modern, relaxed style and features blacks, soft taupes and grey marl in the colour palette. Wanaka-based designer Christina Perriam drew on her high country merino farming background for the range.
“To be selected for Choose Wool at NZFW has been an absolute honour, as PERRIAM truly represents what the show is celebrating – wool in NZ fashion. The NZ wool industry is respected internationally and fashion plays an important role within the industry,” she said.
