26th OPTICAL FAIR OPENS NEXT MONTH

The premiere Hong Kong Optical Fair's 26th edition was organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and has a record number of over 800 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions. A new zone is being launched, IT Solutions & Shop Fittings, to showcase the latest technology and products across ten exhibitors. Hong Kong-based exhibitor 3DNA Eyewear launched its unique retail-tech eyewear that turns its retail experience upside down. This interactive experience offers optical retailers to operate a face scan and customers can create personalised frames using 3D printers.

The fair features several group pavilions representing France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and much more. Last year's event attracted over 16,000 buyers from 106 countries. As well as the 16th Hong Kong Optometric Conference which is staged during the fair, bringing experts from across the globe to discuss the topic of The Contemporary Role of Optometrists in Primary Care. The seminars also showcase the latest information on market intelligence and the future trends.

A highlight of the fair is the Brand Name Gallery which houses over 200 well-known brands worldwide. This year welcomes newcomers CHARMANT, Daniel Klein, GEORGESBAND, Oscar Eide, and WILLIAM MORRIS. Another highlight in this sector is a new collaboration between BIG HORN and popular movie Justice League for six limited edition frames.
