The Runway of Dreams Foundation is a non-profit organisation that works for the future of inclusion for people with disabilities in the fashion industry. The organisation will host a drive-in fashion show on March 9th in Miami, at the Carpool Cinema Wynwood.
Showcasing adaptive apparel from Khol's, Zappos Adaptive, Stride Rite and Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive. The show will be streamed globally on YouTube.
The pieces will be worn by models from Gaumt Management - a talent management company exclusive for people with disabilities. MC-ing the show will be Joey Fatone, with Fatone's daughter modelling in the show also.
Runway of Dreams Foundation founder, Mindy Scheier, explained that she had been approaching the fashion industry about designing adaptive clothing for less than a decade ago, and she is proud to see how far the movement has come over the years.
"We are excited that our Fashion Revolution will continue in Miami under strict guidelines. This new, creative and safe way shows our resilience as a population. Nothing will stop us," expressed Scheier.
