Childhood friends Natalia and Lucille founded womenswear label Black Eye Peach in October last year after seeing a gap in the market for what women really wanted. “We believe that women are after tailored, stylised clothing that is reasonably priced, comfortable to wear, good quality and embodies a strong, independent woman,” said Lucille.
The pair came to a crossroads in their careers after completing communication degrees at Canterbury University and decided to team up to create their very own fashion range. “We have always shared a love for clothing and fashion so this felt like a natural step for us.”
Black Eye Peach specialise in handcrafted designs that combine the feminine and masculine duality of sharp tailoring to create chic, effortless collections. After opening their first store in Lyttleton the pair are now looking into developing the online store.
