Applications for the 2023 iD International Emerging Designer Awards are set to close this November 25.
Sponsored by Otago Polytechnic, the iD Awards is Australasia's only international rising designer competition. The awards allow the future of sustainable fashion design to be showcased to fellow rising designers, a jury of fashion professionals and a wider public audience.
There are no restrictions on design, or sections and specifications for collections. Instead, the iD award judges are on the lookout for innovation, originality, creativity, quality and sustainability.
To be eligible, entrants must either be currently studying fashion or textile design, or have graduated within the last five years.
Entrants can be of any age and based anywhere in the world, but selected finalists must be willing to travel to Dunedin for the judging and presentation of their collections at their own cost. The competition will run from 30 March to 2 April in 2023.
Collections can be created by an individual or can be collaborative, but must consist of 3-5 outfits.
Finalists will be announced on Friday 2 December.
