Lush and Lazy Oaf Launch Self-Care Collection

After 18 months in the making, cosmetics company Lush has dropped its collaboration with independent streetwear and lifestyle label, Lazy Oaf.

The "Lush X Lazy Self-Service Collection" is a cosmetics, homeware and lifestyle wear collection that aims to champion self-care in a playful way, setting itself apart from the serious tone that often dominates wellness products and discourse. With a total of 17 items, the collaboration hopes to encourage customers to set aside time for themselves every day, rather than just on special occasions.

This collaboration marks Lush's first foray into the world of fashion. Both brands' designers created eight clothing and lifestyle pieces, including a pyjama top and bottoms, socks face cloths, hand towels, wash bags and a bath sheet, all made using 100 per cent organic cotton. These pieces feature Lazy Oaf's signature whimsical and playful design, incorporating checkerboard patterns, bright colours and cartoon faces.

The cosmetics on offer include powdered bubble bath or "Showder", bath bombs and soaps that incorporate popular Lush scents like "Sleepy" and "Intergalactic".

A new fragrance called "Lush X Lazy Body Spray" was also created for the collection. Inspired by the essence of Lazy Oaf's origins in East London, the clean and light body spray is designed to smell like an East-end laundrette.

Lush's Concepts Creative Director Melody stated that both British-born brands value considerate and small-batch production.

"We both like to do things a little differently to the rest of our respective industries, with ethical buying and transparent supply chains end to end."

Lazy Oaf's Brand Manager Emma Shepherd added, "we couldn't be happier partnering on this exclusive collection with Lush. Aligning on our core values of responsible, intentional production, Lush has been incredible to collaborate with."
