NEW OPENINGS AT TAURANGA CROSSING

In its Lifestyle Centre, Tauranga Crossing have announced the opening of two new stores. Iconic national department store, Farmers, and homeware specialists Bed Bath & Beyond opened to the public this week.

“We are looking forward to the opening at Tauranga Crossing. This Farmers department store will offer customers a contemporary and fashionable shopping experience. The store has a new look finish with polished concrete floors and open ceilings. It includes three new prestige beauty brands, a full fragrance offer, cosmetics and health and beauty in addition to Farmers home, toys and fashion offers,” said Michael Power, Acting CEO of Farmers.

First of the new large format Home Stores in Tauranga, Bed Bath & Beyond features extended bedding, linen and bathroom ranges as well as extended décor and furniture lines. Specialty prices and additional colours are available across a range of products.

“We’re really excited to open our new concept Home Store at Tauranga Crossing. It is a fantastic retail location and we have full confidence it is the perfect place to establish our large format model,” said Bed Bath & Beyond CEO, Trevor Brown.

Opening on October 4, featuring up to 15 general merchandise and lifestyle retailers, the first phase of the new enclosed shopping centre will give customers a taste of what’s to come with the grand opening of the shopping mall and fashion galleria in April 2019.

On completion, Stage Two is set to include a wider range of shopping and dining options across two levels along with a unique entertainment precinct, anchored by Event Cinemas. Featuring six screen and over 1,000 seats, the cinema complex will include the only Vmax screen in the Bay of Plenty region.

Taking the total number of stores and restaurants to over 100, up to 70 international and national fashion, apparel and general merchandise retailers will be added to the Tauranga Crossing shopping complex, which will be serviced by more than 1,700 free carparks.

Tauranga Crossing will also be home to a two-level dining precinct featuring 15 casual dining options and an al-fresco dining terrace overlooking a sun-drenched outdoor garden area – designed specifically with families in mind.

“2018 has been a successful year for openings at Tauranga Crossing, and we have opened new tenants with more than 10,000 sqm of space in the past 12 months. Once Stage Two of the centre is completed in April 2019 we will have 45,000 sqm of lettable area open to the public, making Tauranga Crossing the largest retail destination in the Bay of Plenty,” said Steve Lewis, CEO of Tauranga Crossing.
