NICHE JEWELLERY TREND THAT EXTENUATES YOUR THIGH GAP

In her final year of Industrial Design at the National University of Singapore, Soo Kyung Bae is the mastermind behind TGap. The jewellery supposedly extenuates one's "thigh gap", however if you were thinking of buying one of the featured products you are in for a surprise.

Bae has designed the jewellery and curated the website into looking like a small up and coming online shop - but when you go through the checkout, it redirects you to their story page where it states the following...

TGap Jewellery is a fictional company that sells jewelleries designed for thigh gaps. It is launched to catalyze a debate on unrealistic body image social media portrays.

Followed by some pretty informative stuff if you scroll further down. She aims to address the obsession of this extreme thinness and similar ridiculous trends that have gone viral via social media. After launching the site on the 22nd of March, Bae has received a wide range of feedback. Some were shocked or enraged, others confused, but Bae says some were "appreciative" of her attempt to shine a light on this issue.
